Homemade Dried Herb Blend

I know what you are thinking, but I swear these are only garden herbs. My family has been growing herbs for  a long time. I used to watch my Grandma Jo dry and make her own herbs, labeling the jars and cooking with those herbs.

I decided to make my own, then make dishes from the Homemade Herb Blend. I think I may do this often since it was so easy and worked out amazingly. Oh the possibilities!

I picked apart the following bunches of herbs, you can use whatever you have as your special herb combo.

  • Rosemary Sprigs
  • Pineapple Sage
  • Oregano
  • Thyme
  • Mint (tiny bit)

Dried the leaves for about two days in the sun, moving them to get coverage. Then I put the leaves in the food processor (or blender). I took them out and dried them on a page for another day and blended the herbs again.

It was worth it, the blend of Italian Herbs with a tiny tinge of mint was perfect. I used this in a few of my upcoming recipes, so I wanted to share how I made it.
